ELKTON, MD – Ten seniors were honored for competing and placing in the 2018 National Senior League (NSL) Wii Bowling Championship. Team Pride and Team Strikers proudly received their recognition today at the Elkton Center located at the Cecil County Administration Building.
While both teams achieved conference championship status, the Strikers also qualified as finalists in this year’s spring contest.
The 2018 Elkton Center teams are:
Team Pride: (Conference Champions)

“I extend my congratulations to each of the participants and appreciate that you so proudly represented Cecil County in your competition,” announced County Executive Alan McCarthy. Both teams have invited the county executive to Wii bowl with them in the coming months.
Now in its 9th season, the NSL 2018 spring competition featured 1,271 senior Wii Bowlers representing 266 teams from 79 communities across the country. Thirty-five champions and co-champions received championship certificates.
According to the NSL website, the National Championships are played in 7 divisions based on levels of ability. The top 32 teams in each division, as determined by their total pins after 6 weeks of play, make it to the final rounds, in single elimination play. Champions and runners-up receive NSL etched glass awards to add to their trophy case along with bragging rights for being the National Senior Wii Bowling Champions.
