The Cecil County Public Library and the community of North East are embarking on the design of a long-awaited new library to better serve the current and future needs of the region. The new library offers exciting opportunities for the entire community, especially its business owners, to learn, work, and access technology and information. Library Architect Jeff Hoover of BCWH Tappe will join the North East Chamber of Commerce’s membership at the January meeting to engage in a conversation with the community’s business leaders and stakeholders around the space and service goals of the future library. Whether or not you are a regular library user, your ideas and input are critical to its planning.
The meeting will be held on Thursday, January 18th at The Port House Grill on Main St in North East. It will start at Noon.
Unable to attend? Additional community design discussions will be held on Thursday, January 18th at 6 pm and on Saturday, January 20th at 11 am at North East Town Hall. A public survey about the new library will be distributed the week of January 8th.
