How To Start A Business
The Small Business Administration has a business plan tool to help people start a business. But even before you start researching the nuts and bolts of writing a business plan from SBA site resources, there are a few things that can be done. First, make a list of things that interest you and that you can commit to pursue. Find at least ten areas that hold your interest. Next, start exploring if there are services or goods that are needed in the area that match your list of interests. What is the competition? The following step is to figure out how much money you could possibly make and what market you will target. You need to have a good or service that is needed by the target group of customers and can turn a profit. Next, visit a potential customer or two to find out how you could tailor your business to best fit their needs. For an original product, you could build a prototype and see if potential customers could be excited about it.
