Season’s Pizza, on the corner of U.S. 40 and MD 213, is adding square footage and coffee to its location.
The existing structure is 3,116 square feet and has housed a restaurant dining room and kitchen, plus a drive-up window.
They are adding 1,246 square feet to the MD 213 side of the building. On the other side of the structure, they are removing the current 31 square foot drive-up window and adding 134 square feet to accommodate new drive-through service at the corner of the building closest to U.S. 40.
When completed, it will be a Season’s Pizza and Starbucks.
The building is on a lot that is slightly larger than one acre. Elkton zoning says that up to 85% of the property can be covered by impervious surface, the approved renovation plan only covers 72% of the lot. Town zoning also requires 26 spaces to serve 78 customers in the restaurant plus 12 employees. The plans call for 45 spaces. Town rules require a bike rack that will hold one bike for each 15 parking spaces and the Seasons/Starbucks will have a rack that will handle six bicycles.
